Anthony Punshon

Wellbeing Educator & Speaker

Helping people build stronger minds by understanding the connection between body, brain, and everyday life.

What I Do

Anthony Punshon is a wellbeing educator and speaker who helps people understand how their mind and body work together, and how small, practical habits can support emotional resilience, confidence, and mental wellbeing.

I deliver wellbeing presentations and workshops for schools, workplaces, and organisations, with a focus on education rather than motivation — giving people language, understanding, and tools they can actually use in real life.

Sessions are always:

  • Practical and evidence-informed

  • Age-appropriate and inclusive

  • Calm, engaging, and grounded

  • Free from diet culture, body-image pressure, or performance messaging

Who I Work With

I work across a range of settings, adapting tone, examples, and delivery to suit each audience.

This includes:

  • Primary schools (particularly Year 5–6 pupils preparing for transition)

  • Secondary schools (Year 7–8 and beyond)

  • Corporate organisations and large teams

  • Workplace wellbeing programmes

I’ve delivered wellbeing presentations and workshops for organisations ranging from large corporates such as Genistar, through to established workplaces including Southern Water, as well as schools and community settings.

This breadth of experience allows me to communicate clearly with different age groups, while keeping the core message consistent.

My Approach

Many wellbeing talks focus solely on “positive thinking” or mindset.

My work goes a step further.

I teach people that mental wellbeing isn’t just about thoughts — it’s also about:

  • How stress shows up in the body

  • How movement supports emotional regulation

  • Why calming the body often comes before calming the mind

  • How confidence is built through action, not personality

  • Why comparison and self-criticism make everything harder

This mind–body connection sits at the heart of every session, whether I’m speaking to Year 6 pupils or a room full of professionals.

Where This Approach Comes From

Before focusing on wellbeing education, I spent many years working in the health and fitness industry, supporting people through physical change.

What became clear very quickly was that progress was rarely limited by knowledge or effort. Instead, people struggled because of stress, self-belief, emotional regulation, and the way they spoke to themselves.

In other words, the biggest barriers were mental — not physical.

That experience shaped my approach today: focusing on wellbeing education, and helping people understand the mind–body connection before problems escalate, rather than reacting once they do.

Why I Do This

Through years of work with adults, I kept hearing the same reflection:

“I wish someone had taught me this when I was younger.”

People often struggle not because they’re incapable, but because they were never shown how to:

  • Understand their thoughts

  • Regulate big emotions

  • Use their body to support mental wellbeing

  • Be kinder to themselves under pressure

I’m also a parent to a child currently in Year 6, and I see first-hand how much young people carry quietly — worries about fitting in, getting things wrong, or being “good enough” as they move through school.

My work is about teaching these skills earlier, in a way that’s accessible, reassuring, and genuinely useful.

Sessions for Schools

School sessions are designed to support PSHE and pastoral wellbeing objectives, and are delivered in a safeguarding-aware, age-appropriate way.

Depending on the age group, sessions focus on:

  • Building a healthy self-image without comparison

  • Understanding nerves and big feelings as normal

  • Simple ways to calm the body when emotions feel overwhelming

  • The role of movement in mental wellbeing

  • Redefining strength, confidence, and resilience

There is no focus on weight, appearance, dieting, or fitness performance, and pupils are never asked to disclose personal experiences.

School sessions are currently offered free of charge as part of my commitment to supporting early wellbeing education.

Sessions for Workplaces & Organisations

Workplace sessions support:

  • Stress management and emotional regulation

  • Sustainable wellbeing habits

  • Confidence without burnout

  • Practical self-care in high-pressure environments

These sessions are grounded, relatable, and designed to be genuinely useful — not generic wellbeing talks that sound good but change nothing.
